Personally, I think White Lies were wrongly missed off, and I'm kind of shocked Peter Doherty didnt make an appearance. Out of the nominees, I think it would be criminal for The Horrors not to win...

I never normally bother with the mercury prize, even though FF have won it, I did think White Lies should have been in there, though. Really I thought it was always for new bands on with debut albums out, FF won it with their debut, and so did Klaxons, and Arctic Monkeys. But its for any album, I guess.

I thought they could've put Jack Penate in their, and maybe The Noisettes, I don't like The Noisettes, but I still think one of their songs sounds good, so that's why I thought they'd be on the list. I don't know why they never put Peter Doherty on the list, either.

Now, i really really love Kasabian. I've loved them since they came out and did 'Club Foot' on the first album. And everyday i have to listen to them. But im listning to the album they released in 2009. It's titled 'West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum'

I just wanted to know if it was an actual place. The gutarist, Serge Pizzorno gave a interview in 2009 about him hearing it on a Documentary.

Is it in existance? Is it still a Mental Asylum?

Yes it was a real place, no it was not in East Yorkshire since West Yorkshire is also know as West Ridings.

Hence West Ryder Lunatic Asylum.

The asylum was High Royds Lunatic Asylum Menston, near Leeds.
