FALCONIER PLEASE or bird specialist?
Ok I have been helping wounded birds ALOT ive saved them from wounds my cats and infact when i was 6 i found a baby fallen from a nest and raised it and taught it how to fly eat and released it to the wild!
But never have i found a pigeon with a broken wing i found thispigeon a couple days ago its wing was hanging from its back and had lost a few tail and wing feathers it has no cuts or scrapes and i have had it a day now and its fine its doing well its wing is back against its back normally now but it cant fly what should i do to heal it? I dot want it to get to used to humans right know its starting to like me its perched on a basket that i hold it in in my room. And t would be a great help if you could help me.

Keep in mind that what you do is borderline illegal. Especially considering the falcon--
Pigeons are not protected species, so if you have it in your posession, strictly speaking, it's legal. It just needs time to allow the tendons and bones to heal; assuming that the bones and muscles are in correct alignment. If not, the bird will never fly again. If you really want to save it, bring it to someone certified and liscensed to care for it at a wildlife rehabilitation center.
